How accurate is this compared to a studio fit?+
For the core position work — saddle height, fore-aft, reach and drop — video-based dynamic measurement lands remarkably close to marker-based studio systems; published comparisons and our own calibration (a circle fit against your known crank length) put knee-angle measurement within a couple of degrees. What a single side camera honestly can't do: cleat/foot alignment, leg-length discrepancy, or lateral knee tracking. We tell you when we're uncertain rather than pretending.
What do I need?+
A bike on an indoor trainer, a phone propped side-on at hip height, and 10–15 seconds of pedaling. Crank length (printed on the crank arm) unlocks millimeter-calibrated advice. A power meter is optional — it enables speed predictions and the Aero Lab.
Is it really free?+
Yes. The analysis runs in your browser — there's no fit studio to pay and no subscription. A professional studio fit runs $150–400 and is worth it for complex injury cases; for getting a new bike dialed or iterating on your position, this gets you to the same window for free.
What happens to my videos?+
The pose analysis runs entirely on your device — your video is processed in your browser, not on a fit-studio server. Captures and results are saved to your profile so you can track progress round over round.
Road bike or TT bike?+
Both. Each discipline gets its own target windows (a 45° back is right on a road bike and wrong on a TT rig), conditioned on your flexibility and whether you're optimizing for comfort or race-day aero.
